My what obediant dogs!! It looks like a fine group of well behaved canines keeping an eye on their favorite feeder, Mom. It helps to have those enticing pine cones handy.

Hi Greg

Thanks for the thoughtful comment- definitely the most positive one I've gotten on this blog. A few racers have told me they enjoy my photos, but I had no idea that many were checking them out each week. Very cool! I like coming out, though I was out of town for last Tuesday and will still be for tonight's races as well. As long as I keep finding a new angle to shoot from or a new technique to try I think I'll keep coming out. A few people have bought prints and downloads on my website, but if I got a few more customers I might be more inclined to keep the gig regular (wink wink)!

Thanks for the links. They both have some interesting work. Good to keep in mind in case I want to explore the cycling photography niche.

Hey Will,

I just wanted to say that the photographs you take at the velodrome are incredible. I think your panning skills are pretty tight.

There is not a rider on the track that I know that doesn't wait anxiously until you post the photos from the previous race. If I had an advertising job in my pocket I'd hire you tomorrow. Everyone comments on your photos, my friends and family back East are always like "Who shot those images of you racing?"

I really hope you keep coming out to the races and taking photos, and I like the fact that every week your photos look different (angles techniques, etc.). I wish someone of your caliber was out shooting at the local mtn & cyclo cross races.

Two other photographers that I follow from time to time that shoot a lot of work for the cycling industry in CA are:

I don't know if you shoot cycling editorial / advertising stuff but if you don't you should.

Just read your little blurb. I am definitely interested in going dumpster diving and am looking for someone to do it with as I am too chicken to start by myself.

I've run out of food. Have no money for bus far and no car and live in San Diego. It looks like I will HAVE to start dumpster diving just to survive.

Let me know if you want to join me or know of someone who might be interested in doing this with me.

It's actually not that bad. Professor Saier gets dairy and eggs without problem. I find shopping way more annoying. Ironically the heavy packaging that contributes a lot of waste to food distribution also makes for easy pickings in the dumpster!
